On May 8, Sangamon Valley High School senior, Tiffany Fryman was honored as an outstanding student leader by the Illinois Principals Association.

Congratulations to the Decatur Rotary Club's Educator of the Month, Pat Schroeder! Mrs. Schroeder marks her 50th year in the district and is still excited about coming to work each day.

Third grade rocked SVI this week! They completed their wax museum preparations and welcomed visitors to their museum on Friday.

SVMS competed at the Macon County Track Meet in Mt. Zion. Out of 14 total teams, Sangamon Valley placed 2nd in the boys division and 3rd in the girls division!

The past couple of weeks students have been learning about the eclipse to better understand today’s event.

Today was definitely a day to put in the history books! Students were super excited about the event and everyone was extremely respectful and enjoyed the moment.
