SV Schools Earn Commendable Designation on Illinois Report Card
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has released the 2025 Illinois School Report Card, and all four Sangamon Valley schools — Primary, Intermediate, Middle, and High School — have earned a Commendable designation for the 2024–25 school year!
This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families. We continue to use data to guide instruction, strengthen our curriculum, and support the social and emotional well-being of every learner.

Our district mission states, “The mission of Sangamon Valley Community Unit School District #9 is to prepare all students for a successful journey through life, with a commitment to lifelong learning, social responsibility, and personal integrity.”
The annual Illinois School Report Card gives us a chance to celebrate our successes and set new goals to help every student reach their full potential. At Sangamon Valley, we believe in our students and in the strong partnership between families, staff, and the community.
Families play a key role in student growth. You can support your child by encouraging good attendance, reading together at home, staying connected through the TeacherEase Parent Portal, communicating regularly with teachers, and sharing feedback through school surveys. Together, we can continue to help every Sangamon Valley student thrive—academically, socially, and personally.
