Art

An art student sculpts with clay.

Art classes at SV schools focus on the techniques and media involving various art forms, an appreciation of the uses of art in American society, ceramics and sculpture, 2D and 3D mediums.

Band

Two French horn players play during a rehearsal.

SV schools are home to a comprehensive 8-year band program that includes beginning band (5th grade), middle school bands, and a high school band with concert, marching, pep and jazz bands. In the band program students have a variety of performance opportunities and work to hone their musical skills in individual, small group, and large ensemble settings.

Choir

Choir students hold folders and sing while wearing festive clothes.

Our choral program offers ensembles in middle and high school that aim to develop students’ musical skills, encourage creativity and self-expression, develop teamwork, and foster an appreciation for choral music and singing.

Drama

Drama students perform in a play.

Our Theater program offers a daily class taught by Mrs. Moore as well as a Fall Play produced each November.

Prism concert logo

Each year in early spring, SVHS celebrates our fine arts students with the Prism concert.

Like a real prism reflects the many different colors, this concert showcases the talents of our students in art, band, choir, dance, drama, and color guard. The concert is a fun, family-friendly evening with a different theme each year.

Our next Prism concert will be on Friday, March 6, 2026.
