March 16, 2022 Regular Meeting
Call to Order
President Stephanie Guerrero called the March meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Board members present were: Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. Absent: Jeff Stahl.
Administration
Also present: Superintendent Bob Meadows, SVP Principal Bethany Wellbaum, SVI Principal Kristina Sommer, and SVHS Principal Jonathan Field.

Mr. Meadows led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Closed Session
Matt Wood moved and Jessica Browning seconded the motion to enter closed session at 6:03 p.m. for the reasons stated on the agenda. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

Josh Hilbert moved and Jessica Browning seconded the motion to re-enter open session at 6:12 p.m. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

Matt Wood moved and Jessica Browning seconded the motion to accept the closed session minutes as read in closed session. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Employment
Martha Leeper moved and Lori Campbell seconded the motion to employ Angie Cyrulik as a HS Business Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Employment
Lori Campbell moved and Martha Leeper seconded the motion to employ Nancy Dale as MS Volunteer Assistant Track Coach for the 2021-2022 school year. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Employment
Matt Wood moved and Josh Hilbert seconded the motion to employ Keith Hildebrandt as MS Volunteer Assistant Track Coach for the 2021-2022 school year. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Consent Agenda
Jessica Browning moved and Josh Hilbert seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Superintendent’s Report
Mr. Meadows discussed bus repairs with the Board.
Mr. Meadows presented a facilities use request to the Board.
Mr. Meadows reviewed the Notice of Bargaining.
Mr. Meadows updated the Board on the Ag classroom renovations.
Mr. Meadows discussed the Fire Alarm system repair at the HS campus.
Mr. Meadows discussed the purchase of dishwashing machines for the district.
Mr. Meadows updated the Board on the purchase of cafeteria tables for the Illiopolis campus.
Mr. Meadows reviewed staffing needs for the 2022-2023 school year.
HS Brick Facade
Matt Wood moved and Josh Hilbert seconded the motion to award the HS brick facade repair bid to Otto Baum Company for the amount of $100,020. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
School Calendar
Martha Leeper moved and Jessica Browning seconded the motion to approve the 2022-2023 school calendar. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Chromebook Purchase
Jessica Browning moved and Matt Wood seconded the motion to purchase 150 Chromebooks and Chrome Management Licenses from Quality Network Systems for the amount of $47,723.75. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Firewall Purchase
Josh Hilbert moved and Martha Leeper seconded the motion to purchase the FortiGATE Firewall from Quality Network Systems for the amount of $5,781.36. Roll call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
A Special Board Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. for a Student Disciplinary Hearing.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
